Robyn Weinstein Cimbol is an experienced development professional with a successful fund-raising track record spanning more than 20 years in major gifts, donor relations, and planned giving.  She works with Goodale Associates in reviewing the company’s planned giving materials and counseling clients.

Since 1994, Ms. Cimbol has served as Director of Development for Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York.  In this capacity, she is responsible for planning and implementing all fund-raising activities with a special emphasis on working with high net worth individuals.  She recently oversaw the Temple’s Sanctuary Restoration Capital Campaign, a $30 million initiative to preserve and modernize this landmark house of worship.  She also supervises the Temple’s Annual Fund appeal and endowment fund solicitations and previously managed a $25 million campaign, which exceeded its goal by 20%, marking the Congregation’s 150th Anniversary.

Formerly, Ms. Cimbol was with the United Way of New York City, serving as the first Director of Leadership and Planned Giving and as Account Group Senior Managing Director with an emphasis on the advertising industry.  Her development experience also includes positions with the UJA – Federation of New York and Queens College’s Colden Center for the Performing Arts.

An active and well-respected planned giving professional, Ms. Cimbol has spoken extensively on planned giving.  In 1996, Robyn was awarded a certificate in Financial Planning from New York University.  She is a graduate of Trinity College and lived in Israel for several years where she pursued graduate studies at the Hebrew University Jerusalem.  While in Israel, Robyn worked for the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs where she administered a $5 million grant from the World Bank for industrial development.

Ms. Cimbol and her husband, William, live in Forest Hills and have two daughters.  She is an active volunteer for her children’s schools and her synagogue where she has held a number of positions, including serving as the Vice President of Education and Youth Activities.  She enjoys reading, traveling, and rooting for her daughters’ softball teams.
